AuctioNin ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your data when you use the AuctioNin mobile application and website.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: Name, phone number, email address, date of birth, profile photo.

Identity Verification (KYC): Government-issued ID documents and selfie photos for seller verification, processed by Stripe Identity.

Transaction Data: Bids placed, items purchased or sold, payment method details (processed by Stripe/MyFatoorah — we do not store full card numbers), wallet balances, withdrawal history.

Usage Data: App interactions, session attendance, pages viewed, search queries, device information, IP address, and location data (with your permission).

Communications: Messages sent to sellers, dispute submissions, support enquiries, and live chat content.

Live Session Content: If you broadcast live, video and audio is transmitted in real time to viewers. We do not permanently store live session footage unless you enable session recording.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your AuctioNin account
• To facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers
• To process payments and manage your wallet
• To verify seller identity (KYC) and prevent fraud
• To send push notifications, auction alerts, and account updates
• To provide customer support and resolve disputes
• To generate analytics and improve the Platform
• To comply with applicable legal obligations

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Payment processors: Stripe, MyFatoorah — for payment processing
• Delivery providers: Your delivery address is shared with the seller and relevant courier when you request shipping
• Identity verification: Stripe Identity for KYC processing
• Analytics & monitoring: Sentry (error monitoring, with PII scrubbing)
• Legal compliance: When required by Kuwaiti law or valid legal process

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Transaction records are retained for a minimum of 5 years for legal and accounting compliance. You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time, subject to legal retention requirements.

With your permission, we send push notifications for bid alerts, outbid notifications, auction reminders, order updates, and platform news. You can manage notification preferences in your app settings at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

AuctioNin is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we discover a minor has registered, we will delete their account immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via push notification or email.
